Looking Good in the Nude

Most people think that when you are wearing a monochromatic outfit, or an outfit that is all neutrals you need a pop of color.  But sometimes resisting the urge to throw in the bright pink clutch or blue suede heels is a good thing. Keeping the outfit all neutral or in this case all monochromatic makes a huge statement of its own.  Resist the urge every now and then.

Going from Day to Night

By keeping two staple pieces and building an outfit around them, you are able to go from a day look (in my case, to work) to a night look. It's also fun to play up your make up when going out. All you have to do is add a little more shadow to the crease of the eyelid and it is easy to create a sultry nighttime look. 

DAY: The blazer, understated jewelry and lower heels keep the outfit simple, classy and professional.

NIGHT: By adding some extra jewelry pieces, taking away the blazer, and switching shoes, Kate is ready for a night on the town.

Jeans in summertime?  Why not?  On those days that may be a bit cooler or you just feel lazy and want to skip shaving, summer jeans may be perfect.  Leave the dark washed bootcuts in the closet, instead break out some brightly colored or patterned skinnies.  Here are a few pairs that we love.

Wedding Wear

Going to a wedding gives a girl the chance to go out and buy a hot new dress. Who wants to wear that same old dress to every single event? Erika and I were excited to attend our friend's wedding and, as usual, accidentally matched.

Kate (LEFT): This dress was very flattering because of the ruching along the waistline that helped give a defined shape to the body.
Erika (RIGHT): This dress also has a thicker band that gives a defined waist. It is a classic look with the dress hitting the knee, but adds sexiness with a high slit on the front of both legs.

We love the draping in Marlena's dress. Her shoes matched the darker blue color perfectly.
